Cần Thơ is the biggest city in the Mekong Delta. It is about 1.2 million people in the area of 807 km².
The city is famous with tourists for its floating markets and fruit specialties such as pomelo, longan,
jackfruit, mango and durian. Economically, the province is a backbone of the country that produces
rice, fruits and fresh-water seafood to southern Vietnam for many decades. The Cần Thơ University is
well-known for the College of Agriculture and Cuu Long Delta Rice Research Institute. It borders the
provinces of An Giang, Hậu Giang, Kiên Giang, Vĩnh Long and Đồng Tháp. The Cần Thơ City is divided
into eight districts: Ninh Kiều. Bình Thủy, Cái Răng, Ô Môn, Phong Điền, Cờ Đỏ, Vĩnh Thạnh,Thốt Nốt
