GENERAL INFORMATION All citizens of other country than their resident country are required to get an entry visa to the other country. You could get Vietnam entry visa from any one of the Vietnam Embassies and/or Consulates worldwide or Vietnam Immigration Department in hanoi before your departure flights. The entry visa may not be required for citizens of countries (Korea, Japan, Scandinavians, .....etc....) with which Vietnam has bilateral agreements for visa exemption. Arrival entry visa can be obtain with the pre-approved introduction letter. This arrival entry visa issues at Vietnam’s International Airports with your pre-approved introduction letter, two visa/passport size photos along airport tax and fee USD $25/pp which you will be required to pay directly at the airport. In the event, Vietnam is part of your multi-nation trip, then a visa on arrival at airport as your best option. VISA APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Your name as it appears in your passport 2. Type of service (Visa or Visa on arrival, single or multiple visit) 14. Your two visa/passport size photos is needed, if visa on arrival is required., CUSTOMS: All visitors to Vietnam should fill in declaration forms and show their luggage to Customs officials on request. Luggage, personal possessions and goods brought to Vietnam in amounts sufficient for personal use only, and not listed among noncommercial goods not to be imported, are exempt from tax. Travelers' luggage as declared at Customs offices on arrival must be shown again at Customs when leaving Vietnam, except for articles which have been consumed or given as gifts. Visitors to Vietnam can bring with them unlimited amounts of foreign currency, objects made of gold, silver, precious metals and gemstones or plated with silver or gold, but these must be declared in detail on their customs forms. Travelers can change their money for Vietnamese dong (VND) at the banks, hotels and jewelry shops throughout the country. Foreign currency must be changed into Vietnamese dong for shopping. Travelers can take with them unlimited amounts of souvenirs bought with receipts. |
